Token Design
The Nilo Ecosystem utilizes two distinct token designs to achieve its goals. The first token is the Nilo token (NLT), which is designed as a single value token with a limited supply and a fixed distribution schedule. The NLT token is the only token in the Nilo ecosystem that holds tangible value and is used as a medium of exchange within the Nilo economy.
The second token is the Brushing Experience Points (BXP) which are used to track qualifying brush activities within the Nilo ecosystem. Unlike the NLT token, BXP has an infinite supply. BXP is a non-transferable token and serves as a unit of account, measuring the progress and activity of users in the Nilo ecosystem
NLT Utility
Store Savings: Users of the Nilo application can use their earned NLT to get discounts on oral care products and avail special offers in the Nilo Store. The NLT token has a higher exchange rate in the store than in the openmarket..
In-app Currency: The NLT token is the payment token of the Nilo ecosystem for purchasing digital items, leveling up, and the only accepted token in the Nilo Marketplace.
Community Governance: The Nilo community will eventually govern the Ecosystem Treasury which will fund campaigns to grow the Nilo Ecosystem. The NLT token will be used to incentivize and align the interests of all stakeholders in the Nilo ecosystem.
BXP Utility
Activity Tracker: BXP is the token that will track the users’ brushing activities and the progress and evolution of their Nilo avatars.
